The HRS7219 is 12.0V @ 60 mA bulb usually on an 11.5 regulated supply.

You might compare that bulb with the Chicago Miniature 7219, available at Mouser.

The double == at the end of the above link is part of the link. If that does not work, once on mouser.com, go to
All products>Optoelectronics>Lamps & Holders>Lamps>Chicago Miniature 7219
There is a data sheet in pdf format on that page.

You can put an LED with series resistor in place of the lamp. The resistor size depends on the current you want to run through the LED at full brightness (11.5V). Since there are many LEDs with each having their own current rating at the intrinsic voltage drop, test using a bench setup first. From a quick look at the schematic, no modification of the dimming circuit is necessary. If indeed the circuit is looking for a minimum current, you can put a resistor in parallel with installed LED lamps.

Subject: [ICOM] IC-901A Lamps

What are the specs on the 4 control head lamps used in the IC-901A?   I need to replace them all and the Service Manual only has a part number.   I assume they are 12  volts, but what current, and what is the bulb part number (other than ICOM’s stock number)?   Also, anyone got a source for them?

Or as an alternative, has anyone replaced the lamps with LEDs?  Is it necessary to rework the dimmer circuit?

Thanks for any help.
