Re: Collins. It's what the market will bear. A '60s era car [ AKA: 
Mustang, Camero, GTO] cost roughly what the S line cost. Find a restored 
one or an original & the going rate is more than a new Lexus, Beamer or 
other premium import. Some of these jems start in the 70K range.

It's what the market will bear. Check the going rates on a 20 yr. old IC 
746. Anything good or good & memory laden is what the market will bear. 
I really hated to see  my 746 go but it went to a friend.

Currently we have a TS 590s & a K3. I think the K3 holds its own on CW 
but for audio quality on SSB I've not heard better than the Collins S 
series Rx. Only my opinion so don't get upset if you disagree. We all 
have our views & memories.
