[ICOM] Re ICOM 761. Need part IS 433 photo transistor or entire encoder

RE ICOM 761 unit will not change frequency by turning the dial.  In the encoder the photo transistor is shot... ICOM can not tell me the nomenclature or specs on the part ..says replace the entire encoder BUT they no longer have it ..say to look for a parts unit...  ? Can anyone help???
