[ICOM] IC-2100 issues.

An OT whom I am trying to help is bringing me an IC-2100 for me to "take a 
look" at.

Apparently, the rig is shutting itself down, sometimes completely, and 
sometimes only RX goes away, after a certain period of operation which is 
enough to get it "hot".

I have searched the web but have found nothing directly (or even indirectly) 
relating to such a problem.

As far as he knows, power output is the 45 watts specified and the unit has 
never been messed with.

Might anyone have any ideas? Has anyone else experienced this? If so, how 
did you fix it?

I have downloaded both the operating and service manuals for it.
