[ICOM] IC-706MKIIG MARS issue

I recently modified my IC-706MKIIG for MARS frequencies. I have a friend tell me, after the fact, he has the same problem I'm having and knows a few others so maybe I shouldn't have done the mod but maybe someone can give me the fix for it. What I'm noticing, for me, it seems to be on UHF/VHF, it could be FM in general though from what they're telling me, my power is down almost half and I'm not bringing up any repeaters, like the transmit frequency is not stable anymore. I don't think the auto repeater offset is working either. I went in and touched the removed chip where it belonged, not soldering it but just touched it back and tried again and it seemed to work right again. Can anyone let me know if this is known, is there a fix for it? I know I've used it on HF, SSB mostly and it's worked as it always did, and it worked fine on MARS frequencies but when I get to where I use FM, that's where the problem shows up. Any help appreciated.
