John: You may be better served by better informing yourself about noise
interference and how to detect and eliminate it from your home, instead
of having the receiver trying to take care of it. There are many avenues
for noise to enter your receiver, and if you can find and prevent its
entry you will likely be much better and less costly served. There are
many tutorials regarding this subject on the internet. There will likely
be more than just one solution, and you may have to implement several
in order to reduce your noise to a tolerable level. My own case of noise
involved a noisy Satelight receiver, a DVD player power supply, and
bonding my rig, power supply and amplifier to a common strap and then to
earth ground. Each step took an S7 background noise eventually to an
S3. It takes some work and effort to get there, but there is no magic
"noise blanker or noise reduction" circuit that will just take it all
down to nothing.
Good Luck,
