[ICOM] IC781 meter light replacement

After my recent move I find my meter light is out on my 781.  I took the top case off and tapped the meter housing and the light came on for a bit and went back out.  On other radios I have been able to just pull the bulb out through the back of the housing but this one doesn't want to come out.  I don't want pull too hard not knowing for sure if this is what to do.  Can anyone give me a tip on how to change this bulb?  I would sure appreciate it.  Thanks and 73  Tom AB8BW
