Good evening.
I am considering selling my ICOM station. I have had it for several years,
and have just not made use of it. Anyone who looks at my profile on QRZ.com
can see where my interests lie. I am selling because I just don't use this
gear. I can use the $$$$ for other things, and clear off a desk too.
I am looking to find fair market value for my gear before selling it off.
Of course, if someone makes an offer I can't refuse, it is gone. But for
now just looking to learn the going values.
Non-smoking home, shack far removed from the kitchen too.
#1 is an IC-AT500 antenna tuner. Looks good, works fine. Nothing special
here, just the stock unit. Power cord and spare relay. What are they
selling for now?
#2 is an ICOM IC-2KL. This is the European model, 10/12m factory installed.
It has new caps in the power supply about 100 QSOs ago. It has a new DC-DC
converter. The DC converter mod has been done, the cooling fan mod has been
done, and the meter lamp has been replaced with an LED. This is certainly
cleaner and more desirable than the average IC-2LK. Anyone care to venture
a value?
#3 is an IC-SP20 speaker. This matches the IC-781. Very clean, sounds
great. This piece is what is making me decide to sell. All the switches
work fine, but they are a bit noisy/scratchy. Then need use, something I
have not given them in the last 3 years. A shot of contact cleaner would
also help I am sure. Value?
#4 is a new CRT for an IC-781 / IC-R9000. I bought this new as a spare,
have not used it. Color is original amber. Value?
I will also be letting go my IC-781, and my IC-R9000. I am just not using
them. One Sherwood cooling fan kit (in radio but can remove and sell
separately). Need to check them over and dust them off before offering them
for sale.
No - I will not be replacing this with a new 7800. Not a 7700 or a 7600....
not even a 756 or 746. I just don't use it enough to keep it. 600 QSOs so
far this year QRP from mountaintops, only 88 on the IC-781 from home in the
last 3 years.
A good bit of spare parts have been collected up, I need to check out and go
through it all to make a list. I know there are 3 or 4 sets of rack handles
in the box. They seem to be popular. Top door for the 781/9000 was in
there. who knows what else?
Comments welcome. Thanks.
