[ICOM] PW-1 question

Sam,
The K3 and/or K2 can be interfaced to the PW1 using the MicroHam Station 
Master.
They sell radio cables for the K2/K3 and a cable for the PW1.
With this setup, the MicroHam basically allows the PW1 to see an "Icom" type 
radio.
This means that the PW1 will change bands in sync with the radio and also 
the Auto Tuner in the PW1 will track with the VFO of the radio.

Only problem with this setup, is the Elecraft Radios do not allow for ALC 
input, so the operator needs to adjust the power output of the radio 
manually, so as not to overdrive the amplifier.

A close friend is considering a PW-1 but his main radio is not an Icom ..the
question has anyone successfully interfaced a K3 to a PW-1  appreciate any
