OK - I figured it out. The press Func_F-1 and press Func_F-2 are toggles.
Press it once, it goes to your alternate set-up. Press it again, it reverts
to your normal set-up. It makes it easy to do things like dim the display
for night and brighten it for day.

Hope this helps someone else.

Subject: [ICOM] IC-208 - stupid question.

Stupid question.... stupid because I cannot un-do what I just did. The
manual isn't any help or I am just too tired to see it (on 12-hour shift all
night).

On the IC-208 Mic, you can enter some FUNCTION MEMORY modes by pressing
FUNCTION > F-1 or FUNCTION > F-2. This allows you to change some settings
real quick while on the road.

My question is - HOW do I get out of the FUNCTION > F-1 and FUNCTION > F-2
mode and return to normal mode?

I know it is stuck, because as an experiment I set the normal mode for a
green display, F_F-1 to amber, and F_F-2 to yellow. I can toggle amber and
yellow just fine. How do I get out of the F-x mode and back to normal
(green display).

I appreciate all answers. I need to get to bed - one more night shift
tonight.
