[ICOM] What happened to Adam.

It had to do with a young soldier in Germany, a TS-830S, a defective
band-switch, and a repair charge that said young soldier couldn't afford to
pay. Seems they wouldn't honor the warrantee because I bought it in the
Frankfort PX. Kenwood USA wouldn't look at it because I got it in Germany,
and Kenwood Germany said it was a US model and I didn't pay the German tax
on it so I had to send it o the USA.
As quick as I could, I unloaded it and got an ICOM - never looked back. My
FT-817 almost 3 years ago was the first non-ICOM radio I had bought since
1982.
There were a few other Kenwood events with trying to repair friends radios
that just sealed the deal.

HEY - PLEASE vote for my QSL card. www.arrlwgd.org/contest/ Thanks.

So what did Kenwood do to tick you off so much? The TS2000 is still without
equal. Wish I could afford one.
