I feel the same way about my IC-781.  And I can walk across the carpet and
touch it without worry of it going toes-up on me from a static discharge.
The DSP and all might be nice - but the Time-Wave 599zx does a fine job and
the number of stations a pro3 might hear that I can't isn't going to be a
great deal.

It's a good price for a good radio - but I get a lot of blowing dust here -
that means static discharge - not sure it wouldn't pop.  Not even sure I
want a K3 over the IC-781/IC-2KL/IC-AT500 system I already have.

I already have a 25-year-old 761 that is better than the 765.  Ain't
nuttin' I can't hear on it.  Other than having a newer rig, there's no
reason for me to "upgrade" unless I can someday afford a K3.
