My 761 has the same problem, except it is 100Hz down.  Since I have never
heard of a fix, I simply leave it set that way.  But I do have to try to
remember when switching to SSB (which I do very, very infrequently) to hit
the clear control so folks won't get upset with me being off frequency.

I never saw a responses, Nate, so if you got any perhaps you could pass
them along to me directly.

Icom Reflector,

I have an ICOM 765 that has developed a problem. The unit is transmitting
300hz below the receive frequency on CW. For quick fix in a recent contest
I simply ran the RIT at minus 300hz and it worked fine.

This problem did go away briefly and then came back.

Any ideas what needs to be adjusted?
