[ICOM] my PRO III shut down problem

    Thanks to all for the suggestions and trouble shooting expertise ..  I feel I do have a PRO III problem causing the shut down of power output after a few seconds of transmitting. It may well be a driver problem but usually if a driver is out completely it will not ‘come back’ after turning the rig and PS off for a few minutes and then work for a few seconds when turned back on, etc.  And I do not detect any increased power output right before this happens, so do not suspect increased current draw shutting down BOTH power supplies the same way. And shutting the PRO off by itself does not always bring it back up in a few minutes, usually requires turning off BOTH the PS and PRO for several minutes to get full power again. But that only lasts about 15 seconds of CW transmitting before shutting down again. Perhaps there is a trace problem with some small leaky capacitor shorting out two circuits.
