Steve, that is Correct. Icom, Inc never published a proper service
manual. At Icom America we had some alignment information, it is
different than the IC-271, mostly a typed sheet from the factory.
Scott Malcom of Malcom Technical Support has published the alignment
information for the IC-471 on his web site.
