[ICOM] Repair an IC-781?

Hello All: I believe there is a teachable moment to be learned regarding the higher powered heavier radios, mostly with built in power supplies. As we are observing, there is some added degree of difficulty in finding someone to service them. Also because of their size and weight, the cost of shipping more increasingly becomes a factor. I also believe Icom East does not accept the heavier equipment for repair. I personally believe if one intends to keep their equipment for a longer period of time, they may want to factor in the additional cost of maintenance & shipment as their equipment  ages.

Well - I knew MTS didn't take in the 781.  Add HamRepair in Dallas, they too
will not take the 781.  Waiting for replies from others now.
