You can't do much better - you could do a lot worse. E-mail him, he is very
generous with tips and advice before you ship.

Subject: [ICOM] Icom 271H repairman needed.
Hope I'm doing this right, it's my first post though long time member.
I recently eBay'ed an Icom 271H and everything worked fine but the receive
audio (from the audio section) was very weak compared to my IC271h of 10
years ago, it would blast you out of the room. I know about the weak caps
and a local guy replaced them for me but to no avail.
Anyone have a name I can contact to get repairs started on this otherwise
great VHF radio? I am near Rochester - Buffalo area but unit is packaged up
and ready to ship.
Thanks for your time,
Ray Swan NV2A
