The displayed frequency is that of the suppressed carrier. Switching 
sidebands holds the carrier frequency constant. Therefore, the 
occupied frequency range of the transmitted signal shifts, possibly 
putting your signal on top of an adjacent signal, so check the 
frequency before transmitting.
