Hi everyone:
Well, I contacted Icom New Zealand about my IC-V85 error message, and
they informed me the radio is a counterfeit! I used to sell Icom
radios, and this one was sure a good copy, but of course it's worthless.
I purchased it through an online auction site, and am now attempting
to get a refund from the seller.
Thanks everyone for your help. Although I'm disappointed by this
discovery, it's good to know that it wasn't really an Icom radio that
failed so badly. My faith in the brand remains strong.
73,
Neil ZL1NZ
