[ICOM] 756 PROIII LCD Display gone dim

The display on my PROIII has suddenly gone quite dim. Any suggestions or 
experiences or things to try? I also have a PROII and it is considerably 
brighter and looks normal. I have adjusted the LCD brightness and at 50% 
it is barely noticeable in a dark room and 100% is difficult to view at 
best. On the PROII at 0% brightness it is brighter than the III at 100%! 
There seems to be a bit of flickering of intensity on the III so maybe a 
loose cable?
