[ICOM] IC-2720 Serial Numbers Question

Mac,

I have two. Just checked their boxes. Serial numbers are 0504503 and 
0503896. Both are marked #5 USA. UPC code is the same for both 731797114051. 
Send me a pic off list. I'll check both rigs for location of of the serial 
tags. I have heard of counterfeit handhelds, but not mobile rigs. Could it 
be a different country of manufacture? I know Yaesu began the manufacturing 
run in one country of certain rigs and transferred it to another.

I recently bought what was advertised as an IC-2720H
transceiver. The I.D. tag is different from those on
my existing 2720Hs transceivers and is in a different
location.

If it is truly an Icom product, it appears that it is
for a different market other than North America. The
S/N is 0904xxx and the label is for 144 and 430 MHz.

I have been unable to find a list of country codes in
either my owner or service manuals.

Any info would be greatly appreciated. I'm afraid that
I have been scammed on this.
