[ICOM] 746 noise

Mine is quiet at 18130 to 18133,  however I do have a nice birdie at
18117 to 18122.  the ANF button works well for this type of noise. 
BTW I have Astron transformer type ps 

I would first take the radio somewhere away from the house and your
neighbors and hook it up to a battery and see how it sounds.
