Icom IC-229 H, 2 meter mobile transceiver

The Icom IC-229 H is a 2 meter FM mobile transceiver
providing 50 watts of power. There is also a setting for
25, 10, or 5 watts output when less power is needed. The
LCD display is easy to read. This radio has 20 memories
and priority watch. It also has programmed scanning or
memory scanning. This radio requires 13 V DC at 10 amps,
measures 5.5 x 1.6 x 6.1 inches, and weighs 2.2 lbs.

This particular unit has extremely low power output in
all power positions. I am 99% sure that the problem is
the output power module. It receives great and functions
fine in all other respects. It was used for packet and
does not include a microphone. Cosmetically, it is in
nice condition. It does have a bulb burned out. $60


HT Speaker Microphones:

All of these have the 3.5 mm and 2.5 mm plugs on them,
as used by Icom, Alinco, Radio Shack, some Yaesu, and
other HTs.

Pryme Speaker Microphone
It works fine and look line new. $20

Azden SDX-316
This is the rounder style speaker mic that fits nicely in
the palm of your hand. $ 20

MFJ-287 Speaker Microphone
This fits the TH-21/31/41 series HTs, TH-205, TH-215, TH-415,
as well as others. It has a 3 conductor 3.5 mm plug and a 2
conductor 2.5 mm plug.
It works fine, and looks close to new. $15


Icom Battery Charger:

Icom BC-127 A, Battery Charger for Icom IC-Q7A Dual Band HT:
This charger charges two AA NiCads (or NiMH) for the
IC-Q7 A Dual band HT, and Icom R-2 receiver, and probably
others.
This appears to be new, unused, still in its bag.
Icom lists them at $21. Buy this one for $12.


Wall Wart Power supplies:

All are standard "non-switching" types, with no noise like
the switching types have.

AEA AC-1 "Wall Wart" Power Supply
This "Wall wart" power supply will supply 12 V DC at
up to 1 amp.
It can be used with the AEA PK-232, PK-88 or others.
This unit has a 2.1 mm plug, with the center positive,
so it can be used on many different things that require
12 V DC at up to an amp, such as keyers, antenna tuners,
etc. $14

Yaesu NC-18 B Charger
Provides 14.5 V DC at 50 ma to charge many different HTs,
including the Yaesu FT-411, FT-811, FT-911, FT-23, FT-209,
FT-415, FT-410, FT-470, FT-727, FT-530, FT-703, and more.
Small 2.5 mm male plug. $10


Icom DC adapter and batteries:

Icom DC-25
This is a pack that is used on the Icom µ2AT, Icom µ4AT, and
on other HTs that use the BP-20, BP-21, BP-22, BP-23 and BP-24
battery packs.  It takes 13 V DC (such as from a cigarette
lighter), and converts it to the 9.4 V DC voltage needed for
the HT.  It is used in place of a battery.  This one works
fine and looks fine.  $18

Icom BP-21 and Icom BP-22
Neither of these battery packs hold a charge and are sold
for rebuilding, for using the case, etc. $7 each

Heath HN-31 "Cantenna" RF Dummy Load:

This is the traditional Heath dummy load that will handle a
kilowatt. It has a derating curve both printed in the manual
and on the can.

It is in good shape both electrically and cosmetically. The
cantenna has no rust, dents or dings.

I can ship it either with or without oil. The cost to purchase
is the same, but of course the shipping will be higher with
the oil.

Paper work is included for $40.


Low Pass TVI Filters:

A low pass TVI filter is added to the transmitter to reduce
harmonic interference. All have SO-239 connectors, are 50
ohm filters, and include paper work.

Bencher YA-1, high power, low pass TVI filter
If you need a more heavy duty filter for the output of
your amplifier, this one is ideal. It will take full legal
power plus, and has at least 80 db signal attenuation at
TV channel 2.
This one works great, and looks close to new. Bencher
currently sells these for about $90. Only $60.

Drake TV-1000-LP Low pass TVI filter
This is the filter that may also be used on the low end of six
meters, as well as HF. It is good for 1000 W "average" below 30
MHz, and about 200 W up to 52 MHz. $30.

B & W FL-10/1500
This filter cuts off just above 10 meters, and handles 1500
Watts. It is the latest model B&W filter.
In very nice condition, it looks close to new. $40.


MFJ "Strip Line" Coaxial antenna switch:

This antenna switch is in a heavy diecast housing
that utilizes "stripline" construction to keep the impedance
very close to 50 ohms. This means it permits good operation
at higher frequencies up to 500 MHz, and gives over 50 db
isolation. Unused antennas are grounded, with an additional
position to ground all antennas. SO-239 connectors.

MFJ 1702 B Coax Switch
Switches 2 antennas. This one works 100% and looks great
also. $24

It looks like these have not been used.
