The Kenwood TL-922 keying or send voltage is sometimes near the 200 volt range and perhaps even higher. It has been known to kill the Ameritron ARB-704 amp buffer device which as a 200 volt maximum rating. Be very cautious with this old beast!

Subject: Icom 7600 and Kenwood TL-922A
I acquired a Kenwood TL-922A amplifier and am preparing to connect it to my Icom
7600. On the 7600, the "send" connection default setting is 16V, 0.5A DC; it
can also be set to 250V, 200mA using the Mosfet settings. My problem is that
the "send" on the 7600 connects to the RL Cont Jack on the TL-922A, but I am not
sure what voltage setting to use on the 7600. Does anyone have any experience
with this? I'd appreciate your input.
Tnx and best 73,
Gary
