[ICOM] 706 and 745

I'm hoping that's the case with the 706 and it wasn't over-voltaged.
With the 745 coil issue, any chance of getting some wire and winding one
yourself if you can't find one? Just an idea.

Found the issue, and it is related to shorted HF finals. Boy, when these
things go, they really go. I would like to know how they wound up that way,
this was a "Tech Special" from flea bay. Good news is the finals are
available still, bad news is, they're $36 each.
Thanks,
Brian

Hello to everyone on the reflector. I just came across a 706mkii that's not
powering up. I opened it up and looked at the PA section, C82 and Q1 are
blown. My question is do you suspect a reverse polarity, bad finals, or a
just a plain cap failure. I'm hoping it's not a final issue which I still
need to desolder and test.
Just curious if anyone ever had the same failure.
Thanks,
Brian
