[ICOM] ICOM 746 2 Meter Operation

Having owned this 746 for many years I finally decided to try the 2 meter
operation. I am OK I think but the manual  seems to lack some info.

1) On 2 mtr FM the ALC indicator is max'ed out. Is there an adjustment. On
another receiver my voice sounds good, so should I worry or not?

2) Can the meter display be altered to show only sig strength a power out?

3) Is the SWR meter really in-line on 2 meters? I thought it was only for HF
SSB.
