Yes Christer, you can use your computer headset with your Icom transceiver, but you must use an adapter or make wiring changes. The mic connectors are different between Yaesu and Icom. Icom's mic is wired for an electret element, and has +8V DC on pin 1 the audio input. If using a mic with a dynamic element, you must put a DC blocking capacitor (usually 1 ufd) in series with the mic element pin 1. Audio return is pin 7.

It worked great with my Yeasu FT-450.
