Larry,
Perhaps you could take the radio to a local Cable TV installation shop and
they might have the tool and can get it off for you.
They are usually helpful in these situations. Hardware for the TV TNC
connectors are similiar to the BNC connectors.
Grab a few feet of RG-6 on the way out. They usually give Hams left over
runs.
