The problem with 60 Meters on the ICOM radios that
were not designed for it is this; although the radio can
be modified to transmit on those frequencies, the
band pass filters in the radio are not prepared for that
out of band operation.   I recommend that if you can
modify your radio to do 60 Meters, run very low power
in order to minimize damage to the radio.  This idea
is not all that sound when the radio's power control
circuitry is AFTER the filters we're concerned about.
