Stephen:While it is an easy task to modify the 756Pro to receive and transmit on 60 meters, that radios's operating systems  as will the ProII  selects the 3-4 Mhz transmit filter instead of the 7-8 Mhz low pass filter. Transmitting into the wrong filter can damage both the filter and the PA as well. Its not a good  idea. BTW, we miss you on the NC 6 meter net.

Hello all,
I am wanting to get on 60 meters, have a IC-756 Pro (also an IC706
Mk2).   I haven't paid any attention to modifying Icom radio's in
recent years, thought I'd ask on the reflector since there's a lot of
know how here.   How big of a job am I looking at, or is it a waste of
time to get on 60m with a 756 Pro?
