Hi Jim,

The dealer price in Japan is somewhat lower than that. I expect a US "street
price" in the $3300 - 3400 range.

The unfavourable USD/JPY exchange rate plays a role in the pricing of these
radios, as does Icom's policy of manufacturing only in Japan.

I just did a very UN-scientific price check (guess-timation), based on the
Yahoo group indication that the MSR in JA Yen would be ¥300,000.00 ˜
$3700.00 USD! That's BEFORE any accessories or modules!

I may (read DO) want it, but I sure ain't gonna HAVE one any time soon...
