You will want to use an attenuator at the least so you can run the volume up on the sound card. There are several designs out there; I don't remember how many db i used. I am using only an attenuator with my 735. Put it in the mic connector to minimize noise pickup. The more attenuation you can use the better as it cuts noise and hum picked up by the cable. If you have trouble with ground loops (I did not) you may have to add a transformer.
