[ICOM] Icom Case Screws

Hi Dave,

I can confirm that. A Japanese (JIS) Phillips screwdriver fits the
screw-heads correctly and will not cam them out.

JIS screws can often be identified by a dot indented into the screw-head.
They are used in all Japanese electronics.

"Hozan" or "Engineer" brand JIS screwdrivers in sizes P00, P0 P1, P2 and P3
may be available at major US tool supply houses. I purchased a set in Osaka
last November.

US #1 and #2 Phillips magnetic hex tips manufactured by Black & Decker or
Vermont-American are a reasonably close fit, if used with care.

Cheers for now, 73,
Adam VA7OJ/AB4OJ
