Michael,
I had the same problem with my 3200. Everything else worked OK.
Couldn't find a replacement pot, so my solution. I took a flat ribbon
cable, stripped 3 wire length off, soldiered each wire to one leg of
the squelch pot then brought the flat cable out the top of the radio,
put the lid back on the radio, and soldiered a small pot, believe 10k
to the wires on the cable. Been using it for years that way. It
almost never needs adjusted, so the little pc board pot I used very
seldom gets touched, but I don't have to listen to the roar of an open
squelch. The ribbon cable is just long enough so the pot sits on top
the trim on the radio, it's out of the way. Hope this helps you.
