[ICOM] No Receive Audio on 765

I was tuning around on 15 today trying to hear VP8ORK on 15. When adjusting
the IF shift along with the notch the audio went silent. I pushed in the IF
shift button and it was as if I turned the radio off. No audio. 

I now have no signal audio on any band including the AM broadcast bands. I
am able to hear some hiss if the audio is turned to max position. This is on
all bands and modes except FM. I never have used FM but I am tossing that
out for info. The radio will transmit and the monitor audio is normal.  

Any ideas as to what is wrong and how to correct the problem? 

BTW I never did hear a peep (not even esp) out of the VP8 on 15 even when
the radio was working.
