[ICOM] IC-746 Tuner Problem

The tuner in my 746 has quit functioning in the
range that begins at 3.9000 MHz. It suspect it
has something to do with the switching that is
controlled by the CPU because I can set the
frequency just a bit below 3.9 and use XIT
to actually transmit above 3.9 and it works.
 
I believe the rig may also have the same trouble
starting at 7.300 MHz, but that doesn't cause
any trouble.
 
Does anybody have any ideas about this? I have
done a master reset several times with no change
in symptoms.
