[ICOM] IC 208H "four digit" programming problem

The radio needs to be in 12.5 KHz tuning steps for it to take a
frequency like 151.2875, Its possible the 151.2725 does not fit into the
12.5 KHz tuning step. I would have to do some calculations to see if it
does but it just as easy to enable the 12.5 KHz tuning step rate and
give the dial a twist to see if 151.2725 comes up it is jumped across.
Be aware Transmitting on an IC-208H at the frequency is illegal as the
radio itself is not Type Accepted for FCC Part 90 rules in the United
States. Receiving only however is perfectly legal using the IC-208H. I
might also thing those operating on 151.2875 a,d 151.2725 are operating
on FM not AM.

If that were the case, why would the software permit the "2875", but not the "2725", just 150 Kc away? Why display one and not the other??
