Maybe they still had a lot of raw material for it floating around or they
had a bunch returned throughout its life cycle and they're now up and
running and up to specification.  Maybe AES is just trying to fill a void
until the IC-9100 comes out next year. Back room deals are not uncommon
in commerce. Only Icom can really provide the answer.
