Hi. I have a 745 that I brought brand new. It has < 1 hour on transmit. (I have a LOT of other radios). ha ha
However, I recently went to use it and I have absolutely NO output. The 'red' "transmit" LED comes on, but nothing, any mode. The receiver, display and all other functions are perfect, as usual. Thinking it might just be the internal meter circuit, I connected my Drake watt meter. Zip.
None of the "Meter" positions on the 745 does a thing, in xmit mode.
This radio has never transmitted into an open circuit and it is always disconnected from the antennas.
Before I pull it off the desk and head for the repair benches, anyone have a clue?
I did search the Icom "Knowledge Base" and the only thing close was a resistor in the regular unit. However, that should give a dead receiver as well......Bloody 'crummy cap' problem?????
Thank you!!
