[ICOM] IC761 problem

Hi Clete,
yes I believe most of the receiver is working ok but either the Ist
Oscillator which mixes to produce the 70 Mhz 1st IF is either not
running or is somehow disconnected.
One thing that may also have some bearing on the matter is that I have
just finished repairing the power supply, and one thought is that as the
PLL unit seems to be mounted just below the power supply I am wondering
if maybe taking the power supply in and out during repair I could have
damaged a wire maybe carrying the HT to the PLL unit or something
similar. I have checked that all the co-ax cables are plugged into their
sockets.
I will see if I can manage to check around the PLL board with my
Frequency Counter and try to pick up the Oscillator output. The main
problem is that I know enough to probably get myself into a lot of
trouble but it sure aint easy trying to work around these crammed PC
Boards lol
Also Gary I will try to find my way around the board to see if I can
find a point that will give me some voltage checks. I do have a workshop
manual for it but as yet I havent been able to see where there are any
check or test points.
I appreciate your answers so far and hope it will help me get the darned
thing back on the air soon.
