[ICOM] The IC-471A Service Mystery

Rich,
Yes Icom never published a service manual for that radio. There was some
in house information but for some reason a service manual was never
published.
Your best bet is to contact Scott Malcom, he did most of those when they
came ti Icom America or Kuni Okuma, he has done his share of IC-471's too.
Both are very capable techs.
The RF-YGR circuit board is most troublesome. Scott has some parameters
of required test gear he found he needed to properly set up the PLL and
RF-YGR. I can tall you off hand the Spectrum Analyzer with in most
service monitors would not do the job.

Both prefer email as they can respond when they have some time. They are
reasonably quick to respond I suspect within a day or two.
