[ICOM] Splitting the CI-V data stream

There is a discussion on the PW-1 reflector regarding an anomaly with the
PW-1 flicking to a different band while tuning the radio. The amp returns to
the proper band immediately. One person said this went away for him when he
rewired his setup so there was just one connection on the CI-V output.
Here's the message he sent.
<snip>
My IC-7800/PW1/PC used to do the same thing. BUT - the problem disappeared
when the Rig-to-PC was rewired to use a direct serial port, and the
PW1-to-Rig connection was the only thing on the CI-V cable. Coincidence? I
dunno, but I'm glad it stopped.
(In other words, there used to be a three-way connection on CI-V with Amp,
PC, Rig. When changed to a dedicated amp-to-rig only CI-V connection, the
problem stopped).

I have the same problem. I split the output two ways. One to the amp and the
other to the Microham box. My question is has anyone heard of or seen a
device that can cleanly split the data stream without losing freq bits?
Thanks
