[ICOM] WTB: IC-215

Hi Mike,

Maxie bought me a very acceptable substitute - an IC-F70T, which is
programmed with repeater pairs and simplex frequencies for Regions 1 and 2.
It even has 1750 Hz tone burst, triggered in the Region 1 zones by pressing
the emergency key.

He balked at programming it, so that task fell to me.

Cheers for now, 73,
Adam VA7OJ/AB4OJ

Up until a year ago I missed mine terribly too. For all is wasn't, it was a
good radio. It ran for ever on the C-cells. I came close to buying one on
the E-place a few times, but managed to forgo doing it.

Then last year the wife bought me a Yaesu FT-817. It is a 215 on steroids -
and more. I don't miss the 215 so much anymore. Now I can hill-top, and
take SSB, and have a VFO, and ... and...

My IC-215 had mostly European xtals anyway.

Good luck finding one. And finding xtals.
