Well, it is a little tedious. I replaced the pins on about a dozen 22s
including my three that I used on the packet BBS for about 10 yrs.
I have owned 2 IC-245's and did both of them. A friend had a IC-211 and it
had the same problem. There were probably others in that time frame.
ICOM in their infinite wisdom used two sided boards and they were not plated
thru. They used common household sewing pins, soldered in and the bottom cut
off. A dental tool worked great for lifting them out. I replaced all of the
pins with a short copper wire and never had any problems with them after
that.
