This is the case with either N1MM or DXLab Commander running?

Subject: [ICOM] CI-V question
Hi all,
I need some advice on what I believe is a CI-V issue.
My normal configuration is a IC-7800 and IC-PW1 linked to a PC with an
Icom CT17 interface. For logging software, I use N1MM Logger during
contests, otherwise the DXLabs suite. Each of those softwares have an
interface with the radio and I use them routinely. I used N1MM Logger
last weekend and all was well.
I've made no changes (that I know of) since last weekend but now I have
a problem. In setting up for this weekend's contest, I find that the PC
can receive data from the radio but does not seem to be able to send
commands to the radio. So last weekend I could change bands, modes,
frequency, etc., from the keyboard and now cannot. It seems the PC
continues to receive frequency from the radio as long as CI-V transceive
is set to ON.
I substituted a IC756PROIII in for the radio, same results. I tried two
other computers with both radios, same result.
The CT17 is the common element in these various scenarios. Anyone
experienced this type of failure mode for the CT17?
Any ideas? Maybe I'm overlooking something simple?
