John: I am sure some of the guys on the Ten-Tec reflector or the Amps reflector will give you the benefit of their experience with this equipment. Most Ham equipment manufacturers that I know of do not make a recommendation for spares. I do know that Military eqpt. manufacturers do indeed publish a list for their customers. I did take a fast look at the Hercules amplifier, and I did not see anything that jumped out as being problematic. If you do not have the 10 meter LP filter board.installed, I do recommend you try to pick up one of those. One of the most failure prone items in any radio once it gets several years old are any carbon resistors. Those tend to go up in value, but are easily replaced with better metal oxide devices.
Hope this helps, Larry K4LXV.

I would appreciate some recommendations on spare parts for the OMNI VI+and the Hercules II auto-linear. With these pieces now out for a long period oftime, perhaps someone has gotten a feel for this issue?
I have both emailed and talked with Ten-Tec and have gotten no useable response other than some CYA warnings that the boards are now obsoleteand unserviceable. With all the compliments that have been tendered toTT, I frankly expected more.
TIA for any recommendations,
John
