I DON"T want anyone out there upset or angry. Us lefties live in a rightie world. Door knobs, power tool safety buttons, American car gear shifts are all setup for you. Ad nauseum. Go to ANY store & the electronic pencil to sign with when you use a credit card to ALWAYS on the wrong side for us. Cumbersome. Most brands of high end radios have the CW & SSB voice memories on the right of the faceplate. Imagine trying to cross over to hit memory sending buttons 100s of times in a weekend.I use a seperate memory keyer.
I learned to send CW as a youth. When electronic keys came along I learned to send with the tip of my finger & tip of my thumb.Taught by an old CW guy.Almost no wrist movement. I never touch the thumb pad on my Vibroplex. I learned to send right handed with my left hand. That way I can guest operate any station. Just sit down & go.
Maybe the designer of my old IC 730 I still use was ambidextrous. The AF control
is in the middle of the faceplate.
The only school class I ever failed was because I was left handed. In th 1950' s as a child in the Chicago Public School system we had a penmanship class. I failed because I couldn't write with the CORRECT slant.Teacher said she wasn't allowed to make exceptions because I wrote with the WRONG hand.
All the scientific studys say on average lefties are slightly smarter. We have to be to survive.
Take a look at the last 10 US Presidents. Almost all are lefties.....
