[ICOM] IC-7000 & IC-706MkIIG - Which Rig Where?

Mike,
Interesting...Does your Go Kit-Kit have any digital capabilities on HF or
VHF? I'd like to hear more about the vertical and the AH-4. What type is
it? Do you use radials with the vertical and/or a counterpoise (what
length) on the AH-4?

As for my backpack kit, I use an IC-703+ and a wire dipole, but no digital
other than CW. Batteries vary from some LiOn packs to a Sealed Lead Acid.

Thanks & 73,

Gordon Beattie, W2TTT

I can only answer you one way.

There is an IC-706 Mk-I in my go-kit. There is also a 32 ft fiberglass
vertical, and an AH-3 auto-tuner, coax and control cables, radial wire, and
a
PS-55 P/S. It works 80m thru 10m, and 2m of course.

My backpack kit is a Yaesu FT-817. Check my QRZ profile for photos of it.
