These are the typical conditions my vehicle and hence, the equipment within
it, are subject to.  I imagine the majority of mobile equipment is subject
to similar conditions.

Aside from the black screen in heat and sluggish screen when frozen, I have
not experienced, noticed, or had reports of problems.  Not to say they can't
or haven't occured, I haven't noticed them, the people I communicate with
haven't noticed them, I don't notice any odd behavior when operating digital
modes.

On an interesting side note, the -20ºF windshield washer fluid makes nice
patterns when it hits the windshield and freezes near instantly (wind
chill)!

According the Icom specs, this radio's usable temperature range is 14 to 140
Deg. F. LCD displays are temperature sensitive.
