[ICOM] ICOM PW1 main fan

I thought there was power to the PW-1 even when the switch is off. I had
heard to never touch the power plug on the palm of your hand right after it
turns off, or you might get a nasty "surprise". When you plug in the amp,
you can hear a relay click so something is on even without the switch being
on.

Hi Steve,

The fan will run on until the amplifier cools down. If the fan shuts some
time after powering down the PW1, this is normal. If the fan remains on
indefinitely, there may be an issue in the fan-control circuit.

I would recommend leaving the PW1 connected to the mains until the fan
stops, to ensure proper cool-down.

Cheers for now, 73,

Hello,

I am experiencing something weird with my PW1, after doing the SS this
weekend, when I turn the unit off, the main FAN still going, only way to
shot it off is to unplug the power to the PW1, has anyone have gotten this
issue before?

Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Steve
